N&WE Adult Community Colleges Link Up is a one year project funded by ESF&LSC - offering training opportunities to local communities and business.
We need volunteers, living &/or working in Essex, who want to help their community by completing a fully funded 4 week x 3 hour course to achieve Unit 1 C&G 9295 Adult Learner Support. This qualifies them to help direct people in their community to the college so as to improve their literacy & numercy skills up to National Certificate level (same as a GCSE). Ideal for those people who missed out on GCSE, and would like to have a formal qualification for their CV.
So, it is important that the volunteers have National Certificate Level 2 to join, (not sure - a 1 hour test can check - & its fun!). Then having completed Unit 1 they can go on and achieve the full C&G qualification - if they want.
This is a great opportunity to get involved and help people to change their lives ......
